I was asked by my client to create an appropriate graphic/logo. Before creating this, I researched on different file formats and applications, which helped me distinguish their uses in different platforms such as, print, moving image or interactive media. I decided to create a logo for a music record label. I wanted my logo to be attractive to my audience, and for it to communicate effectively my desired message.
Through my research, I decided to use the software Illustrator to design my logo, because my logo was going to be mostly writing, and I was going to have a small design as well. Illustrator is a program used to create vector images; and this is the best software to use when making the type of logo I wanted to make. I when I finished creating my logo, I saved my logo as a jpeg file because they can be more easily and quickly conveyed electronically.
The media sector that I had chosen to design my logo is for the moving image.
My logo was designed to be placed on music videos. My target audience is for people around the ages of 21+. When it came to my skills using Illustrator, I wasn't very familiar with this software, but I was still able to achieve what I what I wanted from the software. Even though I wasn't that confident using this software, I was still about to work independently. I believe that I have created a professional logo that can compete with the already published, and well known logos that I had analyse.

I feel that overall, I found using illustrator was challenging, but I was able to work through my difficulties. I would use this software again, as I am now confident in using the software; as I now know the tools, and how to use them to make more professional graphics. Even though I feel that I have created a professional logo, there are still some places where I could make improvements. It I had more time, I would have like to build up on my design, but I wasn't able to due to my skills using the software. I would have played around more with the colours I used.
To conclude, I feel that my logo communicates my message, and you can tell that it is for a music record label. I think that overall, I hit all the requirements, and my logo has been made to a professional point, and it looks very good.
